Howe Caverns
These caverns were discovered in 1842 and have been a favorite tourist attraction since 1929. Tours of the caverns last over an hour and include a boat ride on the underground Lake of Venus. A sprawling lodge offers a restaurant, motel, gift shop and snack bar. The drive to Howe Caverns is as scenic as the cave itself, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
